A Day in DC

Comments

  1. I'm so glad you guys could come out. We love have young people visit. He kind of reinvigorates us!

Recently we had the opportunity to get away from the studio for a day and check out some interesting things in DC. First we had the chance to get into AARP magazine to meet the staff (who are all fantastic by the way!) that makes the magazine happen. We got the opportunity to talk to them first-hand about what they do for AARP Magazine, we talked to editing directors, designers, photo directors, and online editors. All of which play very important roles in making the magazine a success. They all had neat things to show, great stories to tell, and experience and wisdom to share. It was a great experience overall and we are all really thankful to everyone for making it happen.

Next we traveled over to the National Building Museum to check out AI’s Graduate Portfolio show. It was defiantly a sight to see! Lots of neat exhibits, lots of great work. We all got a chance to meet and talk to some of the artists’ about their work, what went into putting everything together and what their experience was like at the Art Institute. The experience overall was incredible.

A Special thank you to all who took the time to speak to our class...

John Stoltenberg, Managing Editor

Leslie Wooldridge, Associate Editor

And as always a special thank you to Dian for her continued support of our program.
