Fresh Picked Studio is the creative company of West Potomac Academy Pro Graphic Studio, a CTE (career & technical education) program offered to all students at the highschool level. Pro Graphic Studio is a division of the West Potomac Academy. We prepair students for a college education in design and or help them to aquire the skills needed to enter into an entry level job in industry.

We are driven by the success of our students, so it is our priority to prepair them not only creatively and technicaly but professionaly as well. We offer all of our students real-life education and opportunities for internships with local industry professionals to help them aquire the tools nessessary to transition effectively into any professional atmosphere.

The West Potomac Academy Pro Graphic Studio offers a two year program.

Pro Graphic Studio Level I

Begin to learn the fundamentals and principals of design through both foundational and commercial quality assignments including: Elements and principals of design, Color theory (traditional and digital), typography, layout, 3-Dimensional design, Package design, Electronic design and production, 3-D design and animation, and Web design. Students create excellent portfolio pieces that visually communicate their proven ability in both traditional and digital design.

Pro Graphic Studio Level II

Continue to refine and improve their graphic design skills through commercial quality assignments described above in level I. Students will begin to specialize in particular areas of interest, and prepare their professional portfolio. Internship opportunities are available to graphic design level II students and certification opportunities are available for students interested in seeking a webmaster certification or an Adobe Certified Expert certification. Level II students will also learn professional marketing practices-i.e. how to go out and get a real job.

Prerequisites: (preferred but not mandatory)

Graphics Imaging and Design I: 

Students in Grades 11-12;

knowledge of computer systems, Art I & II, Photography I & II, web experience

Graphics II: 

Grade 12 and Graphic Imaging and Design I
